Quotes of the day - Warren Buffet

"There are three kinds of people in the world: those who can count, and those who can't."

"It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to lose it."

"It gets dug out of the ground in Africa, or someplace. Then we melt it down, dig another hole, bury it again and pay people to stand around guarding it. It has no utility. Anyone watching from Mars would be scratching their head" - Warren Buffet on gold

"Can you really explain to a fish what it's like to walk on land? One day on land is worth a thousand years of talking about it, and one day running a business has exactly the same kind of value."

Warren Buffet is one of the biggest investors in the World. He holds assets worth $46 milliards and only Bill Gates has more. Recently, he has decided to give 85% of his companies shares to the Gates Foundation. This man has his oddities as well as a strange sense of humour. He lives in his old house in the middle of the Nebraska prairie and he pays himself a salary of $100k per year – very modestly for a man who can buy a random country.
